5Nice qualitiy and finish.

I put this on our 2007 Outlander LS 4WD. Actually the dealer did it for me becauase the threaded mounting holes on the vehicle had some rust inside so the supplied mounting bolts would not thread in. I did not want to mess with it so away it went. The dealer only chared me like 60 or 70 bucks which was reasonable for a dealer. It is very nice looking and fits perfectly on this vehicle. Please not that you will need a wiring harness if you plan on towing. I recomend buying the OEM Mitsubishi part for this because it is wired to the outside thruough the body versus having a wire that you have to pull out each time you use it and it will have to be closed in the hatch and just dangle across your bumper. I installed this on my own in about an hour and a half. It was much more challenging than descriptions will tell you. It may be wise to have the dealer do it all at once and save a lot of hassle.

4Bolts right on if you follow the simple instructions

Requires some persuasion for installation but even with my little experience it took approximatly 30 minutes. Check the angles between surfaces and correct them before installation, some pushing and tugging required inorder to line up the bolt holes

5Easy Install On 2010 2WD Mitsubishi Outlander

I bought this hitch for my 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander. I ended up going through a different website, as it was on sale for about $150 shipped. It arrived packed well, with all the bolts and washers located inside the hitch. The directions that come with the hitch are very basic. There is a great video on youtube, that shows what needs to be done, to correctly install the Curt hitch on a Mitsubishi Outlander.

The install process is a two person job, and it took us roughly 1 to 1 1/2 hours. I backed my Outlander onto car ramps, giving me a few feet of room off the ground. I then sprayed penetrating lubricant onto the rubber muffler mount bushings. Following the youtube video, I tied the exhaust system with an adjustable strap, to relieve any tension, when the bushings were removed. Once the bushings are removed, lower the exhaust system down a few inches, and spray lubricant into the threaded holes in the frame, where the hitch will bolt onto. This was the toughes t part of the install. The holes, were rusted and dirty. I unfortunately did not have a wire brush, so I just used the lubricant, and small screwdriver, to clean the threads as best as possible. I then installed the main bolt, onto the towing ring. My helper and I,each held up a side, and manually screwed in a few bolts. Of course, they only threaded in a few turns, because of the rust. I was able to use an impact wrench, to tighten all the bolts down. The hitch lined up fairly well with the holes, and it just took a little pushing and pulling, to get it in the correct position. Lastly, I sprayed the bushings with penetrating lubricant again, and they slid right back on the exhaust mounting brackets.

This is a partial review, as I have yet to use the hitch, and have had it only a short period of time. The install was relatively painless, and the construction of the hitch seems top notch. For the price, as of now, you can't go wrong with this hitch.
