4brother is pleased
By Michael Ratliff
I bought it for my brother and he seems happy with it. The one complaint I have about it, is that you cannot leave the ball on it. You must remove it as the pin that holds it in place can fall out. The trailer hitch is what holds it in place securely.

1Failed in 6 months.

I tow several trailers very often with my truck. I bought this convert-a-ball (along with an adjustable drop bar) so i didn't have to worry about keeping 20 different combinations of bars and balls with me.

For the last few months I've mostly just towed one trailer. I didn't have a need to remove the 2-5/16" ball for those last few months. I was pretty suprised when I tried to remove the ball to switch to the 2" and it wouldn't budge. The pin on the 2-5/16" ball won't budge. I've tried penetrating oil, a BFH (very large hammer), and even a propane torch. The ball will NOT come off.

I have not driven for years and never removed this ball. It's only been a few months. And when i'm not towing, the ball/bar is not hanging from my hitch -- its stored dry in my waterproof truck bed.

This product does NOT stand up to the test of time.

I tried emailing "Convert-a-ball" and they don't reply to any messages. Amazon has been nice enough to refund my money/replace the product.

Amazon -> Awesome. Convert-a-ball -> Junk.

5FINALLY. A ball that works. I love it.

Great job! I love it. Looks very solid and well-designed. I WISH you offered it in a 1.25" shank... because most heavy-duty hitches use that size... but I was able to use a bushing to make it work. GREAT product. I am very happy. I just hope I don't ever need to tow over 10,000 lbs.
