CURT has invested in the technology necessary to produce a full line of exceptionally strong and attractive ball mounts. The line of ball mounts is robotically welded to ensure accurate, consistent cuts and clean, strong weld lines. Once welded, these mounts undergo a process that creates a flawless surface for the application of highly durable CURT powder coat finish. Heavy duty mount come in 6” or 8” drop with Gross Tow Weight (GTW) of 10,000 or 12,000 Lbs.

Great Value and Well Made

This Ball Mount is built like tank - truly heavy duty. Excellent welds and thick steel means this should last a lifetime. I've always had good luck with Curt products and would recommend them to anyone. No frills, they just do what they're supposed to.

I got the "mount 1" type hitch for my 2002 Chevrolet 2500HD crew cab. It is just about the right height for my trailers. It's heavy duty and matches the weight rating of my receiver. Curt is a good manufacture of hitches.

Excellent product, amazing that is ships for free

This is a very heavy duty hitch mount. I got the #3 mount, and it was true to measurements stated, and it is very well made. I was surprised by how heavy it is. It is all solid steel; no hollow areas or tubular construction at all. The Amazon price was less than half of what I would have paid for lower quality mounts (lower capacity ratings) locally. I am amazed that Amazon ships it for free -- first class postage, must have cost Amazon at least $15-20 or more just for that. This is a great mount, well worth the short wait to receive it. I got a Curt 2 5/16" ball to go with it, which is also high quality, and was also shipped for free. Note that the hitch takes a 1.25"-diameter shaft on the ball. That's heavier duty than the common 1"-diameter shaft. Thanks, Amazon.
